The ART of P-ART-Y

A few years ago, I got into the habit of throwing parties and it’s the best way I can imagine getting everybody together and meeting up with everyone we haven’t seen all year. I’ve learned a few things that might inspire others. I’d like to share a few tips and examples to make your party a blast, without being a billionaire.

First things first, how to spread the word:

  • Create Social Media (Facebook) Event – Make sure to do this a few months in advance
  • Post, Comment, and Tag People on the Social Media Event Page (for Promotion)
  • Make a Flyer (Digital) – This could be the Event Banner
  • Make Flyer Business Card Event Invites (to hand to people you aren’t connected to on Social Media)

Types of Parties: Holiday parties and Birthday parties are some of the best. Anybody is likely to come out and celebrate regardless of the type of person. Co-workers, family, friends, everybody can enjoy. My favorite, of course, are costume parties. Some other types of party ideas that I personally would like to try in the future:

Flyer Example from back when we were throwing college parties – funny:

We have Rescheduled to Friday the 29th in an effort to better accommodate schedules this will also allow us to have some extra entertainment. If you would like to still hang out Sunday the 24th we will be going to Alley Cats.

Party In Progress….we will be stayin up late so come on!!

– Music, food, games, fun, paint, backlight, art,

– Come in costume if you like – be creative!

– Good vibes only – Behave! Leave bad vibes at the door you can pick them back up on your way out.

– Ladies bring your boys; Boys Bring your Ladies bring your fellas

– No drugs please…

– You can stay until your sober…we don’t want you to risk drink and drive :).
